Rimini and the Belle Époque. Guided tour

Comune di Rimini

Guided tour organised by Arte e Musei Italia

Amidst the lights of Rimini’s seafront, a journey through the Belle Époque to discover when the city first turned its attention to the sea and the beach, giving rise to its reputation as a seaside resort.

The tour begins at the Grand Hotel, a symbol of luxury and high society in the early 20th century, and continues with a visit to the Hotel Embassy and the elegant villas of the city’s wealthiest families, including Villa Solinas, which is linked to the emergence of the first seaside resorts.

The final stop is Villa Adriatica, an elegant Art Nouveau building and a place linked to the love story between Gabriele D’Annunzio and Eleonora Duse, where the poet composed the famous verses of the tragedy *Francesca da Rimini*.

A journey through architecture, stories and the atmosphere of bygone eras, to discover, amidst the lights of today’s Riviera, where Rimini’s seaside history began.
